Home >>> Can Your VOICE Increase Your Sales
by Pete Egeler
Much has been said lately for adding audio to your web sites, sales letters, eBay auctions, etc. Over the past couple of months it appears that, as with many other things, brief and to the point counts most. (30-60 seconds.) Audio not only lets your audience get to know you better (just as your photo does,) it gives you a chance to talk to your visitors "one-on-on". The brief audio message on my web site gets listened to about 20 times a day. I feel like it helps bring those people back (my stats bear this out,) and makes them more likely to buy now, or on a return visit. All you need to add audio to your web site is: A good mic, and a half-way listenable voice! Here's how to do it. Go to your "accessories" under programs, and click on multimedia. Under that you should find a program "sound recorder". (Windows OS) The sound recorder will record up to 60-seconds of audio..(your voice), and can then be saved as a .wav file. Upload this file to your web site, paste the code on your page, and away you go! Here's the code: [MBED SRC="http://www.yourwebsiteaddy.XXX/audio.wav" AUTOSTART=FALSE WIDTH=144 HEIGHT=74] (Be sure to change the [] to <>) Try it. You just might see a difference in your sales, too. =============================================== Pete Egeler is the creator of "Auction Resource Alerts" and the "Secret Sources 2003" wholesale directory.
