Home >>> Make Money at Car Boot Sales

Car boot sales are growing in popularity all the time and they offer the opportunity to make a good living without spending too much to start up. Car boot sales take place on Sunday mornings all over the country. All you need to do is turn up with your stock and a table. The fees for the morning are relatively low and vary between venues. ‘Second hand’ toys, china, pictures, ornaments and books are just some of the various items people are selling for good money.

This is the sort of enterprise that you can build up from humble beginnings to become a great business. You need a car with enough space for your stock and a table to display them. Take some clear plastic sheeting to cover your goods in case it rains. Contact the organisers before hand for details/ costs etc. and turn up early on the day (6 or 7am). Be prepared for people to take an immediate interest in your goods before you set up. It is a good idea to have someone with you to keep an eye on things for security purposes.

Sources of stock can be found for little or no money. Clear out your junk room, loft and garage as a starting point. Approach friends, relatives and work mates and offer to sell their property on a commission basis. Later on you can start buying stock from charity shops and other people who come to car boot sales to build up your stock.

Venues can be found in the local press and advertised up to a week before, in the streets near the venue.

A variation on this is to sell your goods over the internet on the auction site eBay.co.uk. One of the benefits of selling on this website is that you are offering your goods nationally (or even internationally).
