Imagine that you have 10 seconds to impress a potential customer with the service you provide or the products you sell.

Can't do it? Well, think again!

If I could introduce you to a three word concept that could skyrocket your sales and take your business to bigger and greater things, would you want to hear it? Of course you would!

Well, I have 3 words that are going to knock your socks off. Quite simply the way to skyrocket your sales and take your business to bigger and greater things is by telling potential customers about your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Its the thing that makes you unique in the market and the thing that makes you better than the competition.

Your USP will be determined by:-

• what you can offer that is unique
• who the target market is for your product or service
• what you can offer that makes you different and better than the opposition

and its down to you to tell people all about it! So, put yourself in the shoes of the customer and think about what it is about your service or product that makes it stand out. For example, is it:-

• Faster ?
• Safer?
• Quicker?
• Cheaper?
• Better value for money?
• Better quality?
• Safer?
• Purer?

...and so on.

Once you have thought about what your USP should be, practice saying it. Say it to yourself, to your spouse, to your dog and to anyone else who will listen. Its got to be brief and easy to understand if its going to be effective. So when asked about your business don't say I a xyz, instead follow these examples - "I'm the cheapest car dealership in Croydon"

"We deliver within 15 minutes or your money back"

"We are available 24 hours a day"

"Book by post, over the phone or on our website"

.......... Then, the next time you have 10 seconds to impress potential customers with your product or service, you will be ready to tell them - and then watch your sales go through the roof!
